Ava: Harbourside Accounting, this is Ava, the firm's AI receptionist. I can't give tax advice, but I can get you to the right person. What do you need?
Caller: I've just started a business and need help with my first BAS.
Ava: No problem. Are you an existing client, or would you like to set up a first meeting?
Caller: New. A first meeting, please.
Ava: Lovely. Can I grab your name and the best number for the team?
What Alony does for a finance practice
Alony is an AI receptionist for Australian accountants, mortgage brokers and financial advisers. It answers day and night, takes details, books a first conversation, answers general questions from your files, and puts through the calls you list. It is set up for intake, not advice.
The intake flow your firm starts from
- Greets the caller
The greeting you wrote. There is no default.
- Why are they calling?
- A circumstance you listed to transfer on (yours)
- Puts the call through to your transfer number, inside the transfer hours you set
- A new enquiry or a first meeting
- Takes the caller's details, plus the questions you add (yours)
- Books a time during the call (Growth and up), or leaves the details for you to ring back
- A question about your services or fees
- Answers from your website or files
- Anything else
- Takes a message
- A circumstance you listed to transfer on (yours)
- Wraps up the call
- After the call: recorded, transcribed and emailed to you as a summary
Accountants: new clients, and a letter that can't wait
Callers ask whether you are taking new clients, what a tax return costs, or about a tax office letter. Put through one that names a deadline. "Where is my return?" becomes a message.
"Thanks for calling [firm name]. I'm the firm's AI receptionist, and this call is recorded. I can't discuss your tax position, but I can take your details and book you a time with [name]. What can I help with?"
Mortgage brokers: new loans, and files already in progress
Callers ask about refinancing, a first home or an investment loan. Put through a lender, valuer or solicitor ringing about a live file, or a client days from settlement.
"Thanks for calling [firm name]. I'm the firm's AI receptionist, and this call is recorded. I can't quote rates or talk about approvals, but I can take your details and book you in with [name]. Are you looking at buying, refinancing or investing?"
Financial advisers: new clients, reviews, and instructions
Callers ask what a first meeting costs or how to book a review. An instruction to change money or holdings should be a message only.
"Thanks for calling [firm name]. I'm the firm's AI receptionist, and this call is recorded. I can't give financial advice, but I can book you a time with [name] or pass on a message. What can I help with?"
Advice, licences and client information
Whether a call handled by an AI fits your licence or registration is a question for your licensee or compliance adviser. Write a greeting that says what the agent is and what it won't do, as above. Read the transcripts in the first weeks. Put only what you would publish on your website into the files the agent answers from. The agent does not advise, recommend products or quote rates, and it does not confirm who a caller is.
Which plan suits a practice
Lite, A$49 a month
Takes details and emails a summary. You ring back.
Growth, A$549

How booking connects
Questions finance practices ask
Is there a special finance version of Alony?
There is a finance template, but it starts from the general lead-intake flow. The finance part is what you give it: your services, fees and the calls you want put through.
Can it give financial advice or quote rates?
No. It is set up for intake: it takes details, books and passes on. Advice stays with you, and so do your obligations as a licensee or registered practitioner.
Can it confirm who a caller is or open a client's file?
No. A caller asking where their return or application is up to becomes a message. Read the transcripts before you go live.
Does it connect to practice, tax or CRM software?
From the Tools tab it books into Cal.com or GoHighLevel, which Alony sets up for you from an API key. On Enterprise, or as a custom build, we can connect almost any system that has an API, so ask us about your practice, tax or CRM software. See integrations.
Should I tell callers it's an AI?
We recommend telling callers it is an AI and that the call is recorded. The greeting guide has examples.
Where is call data kept?
Mostly overseas, as the privacy policy explains. Clients may share personal and financial details on a call, so read it before you go live.
